New Google Maps – Google had a big developers conference this week and one of their big announcements was their new Maps.  We have been working hard on our Google maps integrations so we are excited by what’s coming.

Scientific workout – We all want to be fitter, we’ve all tried any number of programs.  Let’s listen to science and do a 7 minute workout.  Maybe someone will blow that out of the water with a 6 minute workout.

Saasu at CeBIT – One of our Accounting partners Saasu.com, are doing some presentations at CeBIT Sydney at the end of May.  Talking about cloud software and API’s, something very close to our heart.

We’re big fans of Dropbox here, and we were  excited to released Version 2.0 of Connect2Field because we got to show off our new Dropbox integration.

You’ve long been able to add documents to your jobs, both in the admin and on the mobile app.  These documents have been static files that were on your computer or in the case of the mobile app a photo on your phone.  Now if you use Dropbox, you can attach any Dropbox file to a job.

By linking your Dropbox account with Connect2Field, you can easily link a document with a job.  When you do this, your fieldworker will have access to the latest synced version of that Dropbox file while he is at any job.  So if you make a change to a spreadsheet that you’ve linked then your fieldworker will have access to those changes seamlessly.

Our integration works from the mobile app as well.  So you can upload any Dropbox file directly from the mobile app and your admin will have access to it.

Recently we sent out a survey to our customers.  We were thrilled with the response rate and feedback we received.  We are going to use the information we gathered to keep improving Connect2Field and to continue improving our customers businesses.

We decided to give two lucky respondents a $50 iTunes voucher  for taking the time out of their busy day.  We put everyone’s name in a hat and pulled out Steven Brett from Brett’s Plants up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia and also Nathan Nienhuis from Paradise Retreats, in Santa Barbara, California, USA.
